Barbara Weir Martin
Some Words from our Clients
We highly recommend Hilton Head Island Renovations for any home improvement project. After interviewing a number of contractors, we hired HHI Renovations to rebuild a new master bath and kitchen. This job involved re-configuring the rooms, and rebuilding from the studs up. The price quoted was reasonable and, just as significantly, the principal, Barb Martin, listened to what we wanted to create. Understanding a vision for the work and trust in the company is particularly important when you are an out-of-state owner. Barb and her crew arrived as scheduled, and their craftsmanship was first rate. She kept us apprised of the progress on the project in a timely manner. The team who works for Barb, has been with her for a long time and were hardworking, respectful, trustworthy and talented. The job was completed within the time line originally agreed to, and the finished result was, and is, spectacular. It is rare that consumers are as enthusiastic about their contractors after a job, as they were before the job started. I can tell you honestly that we were so pleased with the quality of the workmanship, that we do not want to use any other company for our future renovation needs.

Pittsburgh PA and Leamington, HHI, SC
Last year we had Hilton Head Renovations build a screened porch/deck for us in Sea Pines Plantation. Barbara along with her devoted crew provided the talent, vision , and attention to detail we needed for our project. Nothing was too much to ask and our project was delivered on time despite our many requests and changes along the way. We are so grateful to Barbara and her crew for creating our beautiful oasis on the marsh .
Kelly and Paul Curran, Sea Pines, HHI, SC
Barb and her incredible team took on a complete renovation of our newly purchased, but badly run down, home in Sea Pines. They completely transformed the interior of our home! No corner was left untouched. The detail of the woodworking, their ability to design, and the sheer craftsmanship of their work is extraordinary. In addition, Barb is a joy to work with and her team are wonderful. By the end of the large and complicated job, we considered all of them to be friends! We give Hilton Head Island Renovations the highest of recommendations! We would work with them again in a heartbeat!

OUTDOOR DECKS, PATIOS AND LIVING SPACES
The low country environment we love also creates repair and replacement requirements. Outdoor decks inevitably require restoration and renovation. We have learned over the years how to build and renovate decks to make them last longer in our climate and conditions. We only use materials and methods that are proven to last in the Low Country environment. This deck was rebuilt on a much sturdier frame work than the prior deck to account for the additional weight of the composite decking material.
KITCHEN DESIGN AND
Today's kitchens are the center of the home. More than just a place to cook they are truly lifestyle enhancements. This kitchen was meant to entertain! Opened to other living areas, this kitchen now has multiple seating and preparation islands. We incorporated updated appliances and a beverage bar for breakfasts and adult beverages and compliment the space with new coastal cabinets and lighting fixtures.
FAMILY ROOM RENOVATION
For this family room project, we had to utilize the existing fireplace as a center piece while incorporating detailed trim around small art works on the casement and surrounding the exterior doors. The detailed trim and color scheme also highlighted the artwork. Also a functional family room the television was hidden in a casement above the fireplace. The Ceiling cornice molding allowed for additional lighting and color contrast and added depth to the overall feel of the room. It’s a great example of our ability to incorporate the owners personal interests and desires into a functional family room.
38 PINE ISLAND, SEA PINES
38 Pine Island was a complete home renovation and expansion. Originally a 2250 square feet 1970's loft style home designed and owned by a local Sea Pines architect. The objective of the renovation was to expand the home to a large (almost 5,000 sq. ft.) family retreat while keeping several of the unique characteristics of the original floor plan. The renovation took advantage of incredible marsh and golf views with new balconies off all marsh facing rooms and windows overlooking golf greens and fairways. All while adding, updating and enhancing the many cozy living spaces.
HGTV says the best pay off from a home improvement is a "minor" bathroom remodel. We have done more of these remodels than we can count. Outdated materials, colors and amenities can be replaced to bring your home up today's standards. This renovation replaced a old tub and features a both a rain shower head and mounted hand held for the best of both worlds. A shower seat and niche round out this updated small bath renovation.
WATER AND STORM DAMAGE RESTORATION
Owning a home in the Low Country gives us a lifestyles most only dream of. But being on or near the coast also comes with storms, severe weather and humidity. Water damage, wood rot and other building material and deterioration and denigration left unattended can significantly damage a home and its value. We provide our clients with ongoing restoration of these areas over time and after events.
